Riley Sugars

Riley is a Melbourne based filmmaker who directs, produces and writes. Riley’s films have taken him from small-town stories to international screens, with shorts like Rabbits (2019), Hatchback (AACTA nominated - 2022) and helping produce Ashes (AACTA nominated - 2024) - gaining festival recognition and critical praise. Riley was a producer on the comedy web series 'Til You Make It, released in late 2025 (AACTA nominated - 2026) and a producer on psychological thriller / horror feature film Lenore, which premiered at festivals in 2026, already taking out the Audience Choice award at Fantasporto International Film Festival.

He has worked on multiple feature films, including the soon to be released Australian films Saccharine, Leviticus and is currently developing a feature film.
