Entries close June 19th, 2026
The Life in Pictures short filmmaking competition is one of our favourite things at Revelation.
A true grass roots up initiative, Life in Pictures is a unique approach to opening discussions around positive ageing in the community. For it, we invite all members of the community to make a three minute short film that explores positive ageing in the community or the topic of ageism.
Entries are open until Friday 19 June 2026 for filmmakers in the following categories:
17 years old or under;
18-59 years old; and
60 years old and over.
Five films from each category will be shortlisted and screened on the closing night of the Revelation Film Festival on July 19th. The evening includes the announcement of the category winners who'll receive a $1,000 cash prize. The screening will be followed by the festival's famous closing inight party.
Revelation Perth International Film Festival will also hold free workshops in March, April and May across the Perth Metropolitan Region to provide filmmaking tips and tricks for success in the competition.
