Receive $8,500 to produce a short documentary.
After nearly a decade of working with the City of Vincent on the City of Vincent Film Project, we're not just happy, but proud to announce submissions are now open for the 2027 project.
Annually, this unique initiative provides the opportunity for three teams of new and emerging filmmakers to receive $8,500 in cash funding to go forth and produce a non-ficition film set in and around the City of Vincent. Recipients are mentored through the entire process until they finally reach the screen at the closing night of the Revelation Film Festival. For 2027, that's Sunday July 17th at Luna Cinema, Leederville.
Many of the films produced in this initiaitve go on to screen locally, nationally and internationally including Cinefest Oz, WA Made, Melbourne and St Kilda Film Festivals, and a ton of others around the world. Collectively, City of Vincent Film Project films have screened at more than 200 film festivals globally and won more than 50 awards.
For those interested, the City of Vincent is screening a cracking selection of some of the outstanding works made in recent years. This is happening on Thur, 15 Oct, 6pm with tickets at a measly $5.
We'll also be running a free information session on Sunday 25 October 10am - 11.30am.
