
Julianne Pierce is a South Australia/Tarntanya based artist, writer, curator and creative producer. She has multi-arts expertise, initiating and delivering projects across moving image, performing, visual and media arts. She is currently Special Initiatives Manager at Adelaide Film Festival and ran the Ruby Award winning AFF Expand Lab from 2022-2024. She has made significant contributions to digital culture in Australia and internationally with leadership roles including Chair of ISEA (International Symposium on Electronic Art) from 2006-2013 and Chair of Emerging and Experimental, Australia Council for the Arts from 2013-2015. Julianne is a founding member of the influential cyberfeminist digital artist group VNS Matrix, who formed in 1991 and continue to have their work included in significant exhibitions and publications worldwide.
