Festival Concierge

Brief info

Margaret, the charismatic ex-racing greyhound, found her forever home when she was adopted by the incredibly caring Suzanne Worner. In her role as Festival Concierge at REV, Margaret has proven to be an indispensable member of the team. With her gentle demeanour and unwavering loyalty, she brings a unique sense of comfort and companionship to all those around her.

One of Margaret's favourite pastimes is embarking on evening car rides with Suzanne. The wind facing her and the open road ahead seem to bring her pure joy, and her boundless enthusiasm is infectious. As they cruise along together, Margaret's presence serves as a reminder to cherish life's simple pleasures.

Margaret's exceptional height is another one of her remarkable attributes. It allows her to effortlessly reach into tables and grab any delectable morsels that may have been unintentionally left within her reach. Her keen sense of smell and impeccable timing when it comes to locating these culinary treasures have earned her a reputation as the "foodie" of the household. Of course, her irresistible charm ensures that her culinary escapades are met with understanding smiles.

But Margaret is not all about indulgence; she also enjoys moments of relaxation and togetherness. There's nothing she loves more than snuggling up on the sofa with Suzanne and watching movies. Whether it's an action-packed thriller or a heart-warming drama, Margaret is always a willing and attentive companion, offering her silent support and companionship.

In 2019, Margaret's incredible journey took a triumphant turn when she won the prestigious title of "Best Rescue Dog" at John Carey’s Dog Show during the Mt Hawthorn Streets & Lanes Festival. Her victory not only celebrated her remarkable transformation from racing track to beloved companion but also served as a powerful reminder of the countless dogs awaiting their forever homes in shelters and rescue organizations. Margaret has become a great advocate for the adoption of rescue animals, passionately promoting the idea that you should "adopt, not shop."

In every sense, Margaret embodies the idea that sometimes the most extraordinary qualities come in the most unassuming packages. She reminds us to savour life's little pleasures, to relish the warmth of a loving home, and to find comfort in the company of those we hold dear. Margaret is not just a beloved pet; she's a cherished member of the family, an ambassador for rescue dogs everywhere, and an inspiration to all who have the privilege of knowing her.
