Revelation is a non-profit organisation and all donations are tax-deductible. Your gift will support our year-round activity including monthly screenings, commissioning of short films, artworks, music and film performances, installations, our mixed media event XR:WA, recognition of the WA film industry at the WA Screen Culture Awards each year, and of course the film festival. Your gift will directly support diversity and accessibility in the arts in WA and you will be part of the team to deliver the highest quality international arts program that we possibly can.
It’s only through the passion of our audiences, the creativity of the filmmakers, the commitment of our partners and the love of our family that we can deliver what we do on an ethical partnership agenda, so we look toward your donation to help us to continue to deliver what we do – as it’s 100% tax-deductible!
Donate and be part of Revelation’s exciting future.
Revelation stands for spirit & independence. We exist to make a difference. Join our cause.
The Revelation Perth International Film Festival (also known as Rev) consistently strives to contribute to the development of an engaged community based on principles of social justice, individuality, cultural awareness and equality.
Revelation seeks to deliver to the film industry and the cultural environment alternative perspectives and approaches, global awareness and critical viewpoints.
Revelation is a unique mix of stylish and contemporary features, short, animated, documentary and experimental works drawn directly from the international film festivals and independent screen scenes. Revelation also takes great pride in showcasing West Australian talent through an annual program of short films at Westralia Day, an annual competition called City of Vincent to support the creation of documentaries in the City of Vincent, and on our streaming service, REVStream, we have the largest selection for films made in Western Australia, able to be streamed from anywhere at any time.
In addition, we also now include a major VR, AR and games conference and expo – XR:WA – allowing for even greater exposure across an enormous catchment of business, education and training, art and entertainment, research and academia and architecture and design. It’s unique to Australia and a great compliment to WA’s major winter arts event.
Annually, we celebrate WA’s media industry with our annual WA Screen Culture Awards. This is a sensational evening that we proudly present as an end-of-year celebration of the screen industry, acknowledging the past year’s outstanding innovation, independent spirit and contributions in various categories of the industry.
We have a year-round program of free community events, from workshops to competitions to moving image art projections and installations, free family films every school holiday and of course, our July tent-pole festival event.
From its inception and for more than 25-years, Revelation has adopted an ethical partnership agenda.
Over the years, Revelation has received significant criticism from government and other sectors in its resistance in seeking funds from fossil-fuel based industries and others that pose a threat to the environment, social equity and respect for cultural traditions. Where we have seen many other events of significant standing take funds on offer, Revelation has refused significant funding approaches from organisations that engage in questionable financial lending practices and have divisions engaged in the manufacture of weapons systems and weapons of war.
We take our social responsibilities seriously and we believe this is seen in every creative, organisational and business aspect of the event. If you do too, we’d love to have you on board!
