
Veronika Jenet is an award-winning Australian–German film editor whose work spans more than four decades across Australian and international cinema. She has collaborated with many leading directors and helped shape numerous critically acclaimed films.
Jenet first came to prominence through her long-standing collaboration with director Jane Campion, editing Sweetie( 1989), An Angel at My Table (1990), the internationally celebrated The Piano (1993), The Portrait of a Lady (1996) and Holy Smoke (1999). Her work on The Piano earned her nominations for the Academy Award, BAFTA and ACE Eddie Award for Best Film Editing, as well as the Australian Film Institute Award.
Her filmography reflects the breadth of contemporary Australian filmmaking. Her editing credits include Rabbit-Proof Fence (2002), The Black Balloon (2008), Beautiful Kate(2009), Snowtown (2011), Lore (2012), The Daughter (2015), Jasper Jones (2017), Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan (2019) and True Spirit (2023). Jenet continues to work across film and television, most recently editing the feature film The Correspondent (2025). In television, Jenet’s editing includes the acclaimed Australian drama mini-series Bastard Boys (2007) and the international series The Luminaries (2020).
Jenet has received multiple AFI for editing across both feature films and documentaries and several AACTA and IF Awards. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Australian Screen Editors Guild.
