Simon Foster

Currently President of the Film Critics Circle of Australia, Simon Foster celebrates four decades in the Australian film and entertainment industry in 2026. From his years in key sales and marketing roles within the then-booming home video sector, he worked as Asia Pacific Sales Manager for the 'show business bible' Variety before a long second career as a film reviewer/journalist. He currently pens the popular industry website/newsletter Screen-Space; co-hosts the review podcast Screen Watching; and, is the founder and festival director of the Sydney Science Fiction Film Festival.
