
Fiona has been a jobbing actor in Australian film, television and theatre for nearly 40 years, playing everything from classics to new Australian works; usually as matronly nurses, benevolent judges, nutty vets, weird sisters, peasanty types or nasty publicans and often as Somebody’s Mum. Fiona has been a proud member of Actor’s Equity since 1983 and serves on the National Performers Committee, alongside teaching commitments, writing and producing projects, and script development work.
Her most recent appearances? Amidst an award-winning ensemble cast, she had a central role in the acclaimed ABC/Matchbox television series, Perth’s own The Heights, since aired on the BBC. Lately, cameos in One Night, for Paramount Plus, Pieces of Her for Netflix and feature film, The Moogai. The indy short Alfredo, recently won People’s Choice at the Los Angeles Comedy Film Festival and is touring with Flickerfest.
