2026 ENTRIES CLOSED
We're sorry to say that our 2026 international call for entries is closed. - but it was a record breaking year for the number of films received.
We're beavering away on watching them now and are well into the programming phase and there's a ton - including all the short films - that we'll be prograaming from the call. We're aslo super pleased with the quality of features, documentaries and experimental works received.
Revelation champions high-risk and ambition and has for nearly three decades carved out a reputation as Australia's home of independent cinema. Across its tightly curated program, the festival presents aroun 200 shorts, features, animations and experimental work with all of the short fims programmed from the call for entries and around 30% of the feature and documentary program.
