Tommy Zhang

Tommy Zhang is a Chinese-born, Perth-based emerging actor and multilingual creative. He stars in Birdboy, directed by Tianpei Hu, selected for Revelation Film Festival in Perth. Through the role, Tommy explored themes of sexuality, family, loneliness and connection within a contemporary Asian urban setting. With a background in languages, community engagement and cross-cultural communication, he brings sensitivity, emotional honesty and lived cultural awareness to his screen work. Birdboy marks an important step in Tommy’s creative journey, and he is excited to continue developing as an actor and storyteller.
