
Ari Harrison is Owner of production company Sanctuary Pictures Pty Ltd, the General Manager at Umbrella Entertainment Pty Ltd, and the Owner and Director of Brollie Entertainment Pty Ltd.
He is an Executive and Co-Producer on various Australian feature films including; WE BURY THE DEAD, LESBIAN SPACE PRINCESS, TALK TO ME (Sundance 2023) , THE SURVIVAL OF KINDNESS (Berlin 2023), YOU’LL NEVER FIND ME (Tribeca Midnight 2023), SPEEDWAY, HEADCOUNT, THE MOOGAI and TIME ADDICTS. Ari has been involved in the development, financing, production and distribution of all titles as an Executive Producer.
Ari is the producer, under his production company Sanctuary Pictures, of short film, THE SHIRT OFF YOUR BACK (2025, short), PENNY LANE IS DEAD (2025), shot in South Australia and the Upcoming production, MARTINI MAMA, shooting in Victoria aa Budget of $10m AUD. Both features received Screen Australia production funding.
As one of Australia’s leading independent film distributors, Umbrella manages rights for film content spanning multiple platforms, including Theatrical, VOD, Home Entertainment, TV and Ancillary. In Ari’s role as the company’s General Manager, Ari is across all of these areas, with specific emphasis on determining the financial and artistic viability of both local and international productions for theatrical release. Ari also manages the world-wide sales opportunities for Umbrellas world rights catalogue of almost 500 films and tv shows.
Ari also facilitated the direct streaming buyouts of various streaming “originals” such as Run Rabbit Run, 2067 and Measure for Measure to NETFLIX, Relic and Streamline to STAN, Call Jane to AMAZON PRIME and Weird: The Al Yankovic story to PARAMOUNT+.
Ari is also the owner and director of the new free ad-based streaming platform BROLLIE, available in Australia and New Zealand, which houses of the largest library of classic Australian films and tv shows in the world.
