Similar to a songwriter’s circle, an emerging WA screen composer will present and discuss two contrasting works while a panel of four to five fellow composers engages them in conversation, asking questions about the music and creative process.

Moderated by a prominent interstate composer (TBA), this open dialogue will explore each artist’s approach to writing music for screen and other media, offering insight into their creative development.

The session aims to highlight the exceptional talent emerging in Boorloo while unpacking the collaborative process behind screen composition, including the working relationships formed with directors, producers, and developers, and how these collaborations shape the final musical outcome.
