This session explores the ways in which critics, historians, and writers on film, engage with cinema. Examining the role played by media - written, broadcast, even social media - in moving image culture, and how this plays a part in wider cinema cultures.

The panalists will look at the writing of histories, reviews, and canons, examining the role of commentators in film culture.
