WORLD PREMIERE
4 JULY - INTRO + Q&A WITH (ANNOUNCED SOON)

Young people are vanishing – disappearing into thin air – and the world seems almost uninterested.

To escape what could be their fate, a trio of friends decide to leave Perth with the vague intention of going to Sydney.

But, finding themselves in a motel enroute, they start to consider their options…

A remarkable work, Stubbornly Here is a fascinating exploration of becoming an adult, of inhabiting a finite body, and, ultimately, of being human.

Director Taylor Broadley’s assured feature plays as a coming-of-age film located somewhere between everyday surrealism and deadpan observations of human relationships.

In Stubbornly Here there is a sense of the protagonists as real people, trapped in a strange world that is not of their making.

Shot in black and white, with a good cast, this film makes for fascinating viewing.
