Dr Damien Spiccia is an educator and director who lectures in screenwriting and screen performance at WAAPA. He has taught film-related subjects across a range of universities and film academies, presented at film festivals and academic conferences, and remains active in the Western Australian film community. His research and creative practice are driven by a fascination with early cinema, fairy-tale film, and the rediscovery of overlooked gems in global film history.
