Official Selection: Sundance Film Festival
Su and Jack are a millennial couple addicted to their technology; particularly their phones. Even with that obsession, life is pretty good - they have a fun circle of friends, reasonably good jobs and what seems to be a reasonably good relationship and lifestyle.
One night at a bar they run into an old friend who’s in the process of dropping out but invites them to an isolated cabin where he encourages them to spend a week without their tech and think about reconnecting to themselves. What could possibly go wrong, right?
For Su and Jack, mosquitos are the least of their problems as they’re forced to battle forces they could never expect with results they could never have foreseen.
Save Yourselves! is an excellent contemporary screwball comedy packed with snappy lines, crazy situations and obvious chemistry between the leads which gives the film a good amount of authenticity and helps it crack along at breakneck speed.
Screens with the short film The Familiars.
