Musician, writer, performer, artist and thinker, Lydia Lunch has created ground-breaking, controversial and powerful works since emerging on the New York no wave / post punk scene in the late-seventies.
Beth B’s documentary offers an exceptional portrait of Lunch. The two have collaborated on numerous occasions over forty years which adds to the power of the documentary.
Alongside Lunch, her current band Retrovirus, and some great performance footage, there are appearances from Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore, filmmaker Richard Kern, L7’s Donita Sparks, performer Kembra Pfahler, and musical legend JG Thirlwell. Not to be missed.
Screening with the short film I Want to Make a Film About Women.
