WIFT V-FEST 2021 is hosted by the QLD Chapter of Women in Film and Television Australia. The online virtual film festival team: Festival Director, Bobbi-Lea Dionysius, and producers Joanne Tindale and Ljudan Michaelis-Thorpe are excited to present the winners of their 16 Award categories in the short film competition. The winners were selected from over 200 entries from a diverse range of high-quality short films, music videos, animations, and new-media projects received from 14 countries around the world.

A Different View consists of a quartet of film/sound partnerships that explore the theme of the Anthropocene. The selection of composers and filmmakers was an organic process, none of these individuals had worked together previously. Pairing together composers and experimental filmmakers, A Different View sought to produce new and previously unconsidered creative allegiances that would challenge and inspire both artists and audiences.

Goologoolup NAIDOC Week Screenings

The Goologoolup NAIDOC screenings is now in its fifth year; the festival was developed to fill a gap in Indigenous screen exhibition within the Perth city area during NAIDOC week. This year the Goologoolup screenings will consist of a month-long program of indigenous art exhibitions on the city public screens, a series of lunch-time screenings in the State Library of Western Australia Theatre and a feature documentary screening in the State Theatre Centre, as part of the Maali Festival. An important aspect of the festival is that all screenings are free to the public.
