In a small Utah town, in the shadow of distant snow-covered mountains, David (Clayne Crawford, The Perfect Host, Lethal Weapon) and Nikki (Sepideh Moafi The Deuce, The L Word: Generation Q) are living apart. While David has moved to his father’s, Nikki remains in their home with their four children. The couple have agreed they can see others while they work through their relationship, but while Nikki seems to be moving on, David is still hoping for reconciliation.
While the story may seem familiar, it takes unexpected turns, becoming a moving and evocative story of damaged relationships and genuine human fragility. Beautifully filmed, The Killing of Two Lovers uses its small-town backdrop to full effect, finding a strange loneliness in the quiet streets.
