Set in a small town in the Appalachian Mountains, Devil’s Peak plays as a southern gothic drama that combines crime and family in a story of drug lord Charlie (Billy Bob Thornton) and his son Jacob (Hopper Pen) as their relationship changes and Jacob seeks to escape his father’s control. 

Adapted from David Joy’s novel Where All The Light Tends to Go the film boasts a strong ensemble cast that includes Robin Wright, Jackie Earle Haley and Emma Booth, who all add to Young’s film.
