At Rev, we are committed to contributing to the development of an engaged community based on principles of social justice, individuality, cultural awareness, and equality. Our mission is to deliver alternative perspectives and approaches, global awareness, and critical viewpoints to the film industry and the cultural environment.
Our festival is a unique blend of stylish and contemporary features, short, animated, documentary, and experimental works drawn directly from the international film festivals and independent screen scenes. We take great pride in showcasing West Australian talent through our annual program of short films at Australian Revelations, our City of Vincent competition to support the creation of documentaries, and our streaming service, REVStream. Additionally, we have a section on REVStream dedicated to films made in Western Australia that can be streamed from anywhere at any time.
At Rev, we have a year-round program of free community events, moving image art projections and installations, free family films every school holiday, and, of course, our July tent-pole festival event. This year is going to be a huge year for Rev, and we welcome new friends to our community while acknowledging the immense contribution of our long-term partners.
Ethical Partnership
We take our social responsibilities seriously and have adopted an ethical partnership agenda from the very beginning. Over the years, we have received significant criticism for resisting funds from fossil-fuel based industries and others that pose a threat to the environment, social equity, and respect for cultural traditions. While many other events of significant standing have taken funds on offer, Revelation has refused significant funding approaches from organizations that engage in questionable financial lending practices and have divisions engaged in the manufacture of weapons systems and weapons of war.
Sponsor and Advertise With Us
If you share our values, we would love to have you on board. We present advertisers with many opportunities to reach a large, captive audience of professional, socially aware, urban tastemakers through print, cinema, and social media platforms during the festival and throughout the year. At Rev, we believe that supporting an ethical partnership is the right thing to do.
