Welcome to the RevolutionDONE AND DUSTEDIt's over for 2008 but after our biggest year ever, we're straight into programming for 2009. For those of you who experienced this year's event, you would have seen the Astor Cinema jumping throughout with screenings, guest presentations, Australian and world premieres and other unusual activity - especially with the Harry Smith documentary. With capacity houses throughout and a sensational vibe, it really was a great year. We look forward to delivering another excellent program for 2009 - and we're already working on a couple of major initiatives that will continue to cement Rev's place as Australia's most individual international film event. We're always looking for volunteers with special skills as well as happy to look at integrating high quality visual arts and music related programs into the event, so don't hesitate to drop us a line with concepts. Rev doesn't try to be all things to all people, but does have something for everybody. It's an event about individuality and identity. It's an event about passion and politics and it's an event about creativity and conversation. It seeks to embrace the talents of new local practitioners in its exhibition and organisation and continues to provide a platform for energetic and vibrant voices of new and established screen artists. It seeks to explore exhibition practice and provide the best possible context for these international works. Just finally, we deeply wish to thank all the event partners and stakeholders who allow this event to take place every year. We ask you to support them where you can - they love you. Team Rev
