The Revelation Screen Conference is designed to break the shackles of "market" dominated discussion seen at most industry events and refocus attention on the development of inspired, creative and uncompromising work. In this, the Rev Screen Conference is designed to provide screen artists of all levels access to vibrant international networks, contact with progressively minded distributors, exhibitors and sales agents and to allow filmmakers to experience new ideas and new approaches framed by a professional backdrop.

This event is about about ideas, it's about passion and it's about new approaches. The Rev Screen Conference is structured around the screening program of the Revelation Film Festival and aims to provide its participants with a platform from which to expand their skills, networks and work beyond dominant frameworks.

The Rev Screen Conference is geared toward the professionally minded (but not neccessarily professional) industry across its business, creative and screen culture foundations. It's interested in academic and creative critical analysis, progressive and passionate practices in production, distribution and exhibition and the development of "signature" works and styles.

It's primarily workshop and masterclass based and explores new and developing modes of production, distribution and exhibition through workshops, forums, masterclasses, theatrical and non theatrical screenings, "In Conversation With" sessions and of course our many opportunities to socialise.

This year sees a deliberately limited number of sessions, but that's no reflection of the level of quality in the speakers and opportunties for the local film community to have their say in the future of their industry.

For the local industry, it's a rare opportunity take a look at work approaches outside of the establishement.
