Each year in Albuquerque, DomeFest showcases the best international films created for the fulldome environment, a new and powerful digital medium that provides audiences with an unprecendented immersive experience using large-format hemispheric screens and omnidirectional sound.

No longer 'limited' to the cosmos, fulldome offers filmmakers and artists the opportunity to produce works that engage and enthrall audiences as never before. With fulldome venues now exceeding the number of IMAX and other large format theatres worldwide, the medium is moving beyond traditional astronomy related programming and into the broader arts and sciences.
