Power is a young man with a true passion and calling: he is an air drummer. He can drum to all the rock classics and accompany all the greats as they blast on his trusty walkman. Power dreams of one day receiving recognition for his talent. Then he loses his job at the mine and is offered a once in a lifetime opportunity. Meanwhile his union-leader father, workmates, and community are all facing a crisis.

Blending together a post-Napoleon Dynamite nerd aesthetic with the kind of heroic visions associated with Rocky and its ilk, Adventures of Power is a truly surprising package from the ‘so wrong it’s right’ school of film. A celebration of percussion, community, innocence and dreams - and pitch perfect to boot.
