Cycling through the streets of Hollywood, often late at night, armed with his trusty camera, is precocious teenager Austin Visschedyk. This film documents the thirteen year old as he jostles and pushes through the crowds of photographers to shoot his mark. Aided by his boyish charm he gets his shots, but Austin is a deadly serious paparazzi. Adrian Grenier (Entourage's Vince Chase) follows the teenage photographer on his nightly prowl for stars. Is this a good job for a kid? What does it say about our star obsessed culture? What do his parents make of it? What about the celebs? And what will happen to the kid who takes these pictures?
Highly entertaining and laced with interviews and fly-on-the-wall observations of Austin at work and at home, Teenage Paparazzo works thanks to Grenier's calm screen presence, which enables Austin and Grenier's fellow celebs (including Paris Hilton and Eva Longoria Parker) to open-up, offering a portrait of our fame driven society.
