Film Industry Guild Field Day

Have you ever thought about being a part of a Guild?

Perth is rich with resources for filmmakers, production companies and students… but where exactly do you start?

The Guild Field Day, hosted by Revelation Film Festival and FTI, sets the scene for emerging screen aficionados to rub elbows with a crew of WA screen sector Guilds @ Bill’s Bar and Bites on Saturday 16 July.

Guilds representatives will get together and show off their member benefits in a relaxed & friendly showcase.

The Guild Field Day will put WA Guilds, Screen Institutes & specialist visual and performing arts schools to the test, with booths for one and all. This diverse information session will aim to answer all of your Guild questions like “Why should I join?” “What do I get?” “What’s a Guild again?” and so on.

FTI encourages young filmmakers to learn about these professional guilds and associations, as they work hard to ensure Australian screen practitioners have the opportunity to tell home-grown stories, many of them also offer opportunities for younger and emerging talent too!

Being a part of a specialist group is important for creating a sense of community and this event is for budding writers, directors, filmmakers, games designers, animators, actors, producers, sound designers, costumes designers and more. So come get your ‘network on’ at the Guild Field Day and hopefully find your clique.
